18 marzo 2010: incontro con Raffaella Centurelli
The International Energy Agency (IEA) is an intergovernmental organisation which acts as energy policy advisor to 28 member countries in their effort to ensure reliable, affordable and clean energy for their citizens. The World Energy Outlook (WEO) is the flagship publication of the International Energy Agency. It has long been recognized as the authoritative source of global long-term energy market analysis. The most recent report, "World Energy Outlook 2009", includes updated projections that take into account the implications of the global credit crisis and the economic slowdown, and sets out the energy transition and the investment needed to avoid dangerous climate. The WEO 2009 also presents in-depth analysis on prospects for global natural gas markets, following the 2008 edition which presented a study on prospects for oil production. Raffaella Centurelli has worked as an Energy Analyst at the IEA, in the Office of the Chief Economist, since January 2007. Raffaella works on climate change modelling and analysis and she is responsible for the Energy and Poverty study currently being carried out by the WEO team. She is delighted to take this opportunity to come back at the Scuola Mattei, where she has completed the Master MEDEA in June 2006. Raffaella holds a degree in Physics and before joining the IEA she worked for 6 months as a Researcher in the Program: “International Energy Markets" in the Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM).
